Mission to Mars 30th Anniversary!
The first Mission to Mars Link-Up Day event was held in a hangar at Kirtland AFB during the spring of 1995. Over the years the program has evolved to include Air Force technologies and terminologies.
In April 2024, more than 1,000 5th grade students participated in the 30th Mission to Mars Link-Up Day event at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
To celebrate this milestone, we created a virtual yearbook to showcase Mission to Mars memories we have collected over the years. You can see participation details about each year, as well as feedback participants shared with us, if you click on one of the school years listed.
Beginning in 2003-2004, we started using distinct mission names and created graphics for each year’s mission. We also developed a description with details about the reason behind the year’s trip to the Red Planet.
Do you have a Mission to Mars memory to share?
