Sodium-sulfur batteries developed to power spacecraft

Space Technology Center developed sodium-sulfur (NaS) batteries to power space vehicles when in solar eclipse, as well as more efficient, lighter multi-junction solar cells to power spacecraft while in full sun. This was in tanget with research into nuclear reactor-powered space vehicles.
