Trestle Constructed

Largest all-wooden structure in the world, the ATLAS-1 (Air Force Weapons Lab Transmission-Line Aircraft Simulator) AKA, “Trestle,” built by Weapons Lab personnel to simulate radiation effects on aircraft during flight. Aircraft as large as a B-52 bomber could be driven onto the Trestle platform and blasted with EMPs to ensure proper radiation hardening and safety of crew.
